What's on your menu this Thursday evening?
In a little while I will be toddling off to the kitchen
to make a Ninja Foodi chicken pot pie. Required amount
of frozen chicken breasts were placed in the refrigerator
yesterday evening to partially thaw. A frozen pie crust
joined the chicken to thaw so it will be easy to unroll
and go on top of the pie to brown. All that really
remains to do is chop some celery as I have chopped
onions in the freezer and some cubed frozen potatoes.
Carrots will take just a minute or two to chop.
Start to finish the whole shebang takes around 30 minutes.

I'm having some leftover White chicken chili, reheated in the microwave. Maybe a glass of milk too.

a large bowl of salad and a small bowl of leftover tomato
spinach tortellini. it took me 5 minutes to finish the salad and
nuke the tortellini. my wife won't handle hot peppers so i have
to chop them up myself then make sure the knife and cutting
board are free from capsasin before putting them away. she
chopped up everything else and put the tortellini in a bowl
before i got home from work.
Nitrile gloves are great for cutting up chiles.

she needs a gas mask too. like some peoples eyes get irritated
when cutting onions, my wife's sinus, lips, and throat burns when
cutting hot peppers.
about two months ago i was in a small room and getting some
dried seeds off the peppers i had set aside. i was using
some gloves but didn't ever remember there being a problem
when i was doing seeds. my nose started dripping and the
gal across the table from me was also getting a runny nose.
i didn't have that many more to finish so i did get them
done and within about 15 minutes the effect had dissipated
enough to not be any more of a bother.
these were not hot hot peppers (maybe about the jalapeno
level of heat).
