I went to a further away ALDI to look for marked down fish. I saw a
guy buying many packages of chicken. I said, "Wow, that's a lot of
chicken." He explained to me that he's the owner of a local fried
chicken restaurant, and that someone had ordered a huge number of
thighs. We got to talking, and he ended up telling me that he
occasionally gets orders for wingettes, and ends up throwing away
bunches of wing tips. He's going to text me next time, and GIVE me
    them for free!

There was no marked down fish there, but I stopped at another ALDI and
got a package of sockeye for 50% off, which meant $6.49 a pound. It
can really pay to be chatty. :-)

    Yeah it can.

What do you need the wing tips for, just curious.

My guess is that chicken feet are going to sell for the lowest prices
ever. The Chinese love them but will they forget their pride and munch
on things the US considers rubbish?
