• Dinner Tonight 5/17/2025

Lasagna. I prefer to use cottage cheese rather than ricotta.

What's for dinner at your house tonight?

We had hamburgers. Mine was stuffed with blue cheese and my wife's with
smoked Gouda. We were planning on doing them on the gas grill but the
weather turned. The temperature dropped and it got windy and rainy.
Damned shame because my project for today had been to replace the
    burners and flavorizer bars.

Flavorizer bars are a smart design element in Weber grills that
enhance flavor, protect your grill, and make cooking more consistent.
They're one of the features that distinguish Weber from some cheaper
    gas grills.

Yesterday? Nothing. I had a large, late lunch and wasn't
    hungry at dinnertime.

Lunch was salad, miso soup, and sushi.

Mom's done that for ages and i don't mind the change at all.

What's for dinner at your house tonight?

it was mixed vegetables and lima beans and a hot dog
with mustard (no bun). dessert was a square of good
    chocolate.

It's the way my mother always made it. She grew up in a small village
in Ohio. Lasagna wasn't on the menu in her childhood. I'm sure she got
the recipe from a Betty Crocker cookbook after she got married (1951).
