For those here who get a three-day weekend for Memorial

a 7 days a week weekend. 😁
I've prepared some baked beans and have some potato
salad ready to go and will be trotting across the
alley tonight. My neighbor is grilling and has
asked me over. At the risk of Bryan's blood pressure
erupting like the Old Faithful geyser she informed
me she is also cooking a couple chicken breasts
for two meals for herself this weekend.

Swai fish (also known as pangasius, basa, or iridescent shark) is
generally not considered a sustainable seafood choice, particularly
when it comes from large-scale industrial farms in Vietnam, where most
of it is produced.

We have leaf filters. The maple seeds are just too heavy and
too numerous. They sit on top of the filters.
They also collect in the valleys of the cross-gable, so they
must be removed from there manually.

That's too technical for me. I only know "corn". Them yellow kernels

as far I'm concerned, completely different from yellow
corn.
From the internet:
Silver Queen Corn is an American variety of sweet corn with
white kernels and a sugary taste. It has a light yellow-white
color and thin, tender kernels that are especially sweet when
cooked. The cultivar was first grown in 1880 by William Bates,
who named it after his daughter Queenie (or “Silver Queen”).
It is revered for its long harvest season and plump, sweet
kernels. Unlike newer “sugary enhanced” sweet corn cultivars,
Silver Queen has a milder sugar content. The plant produces
large ears with white and yellow kernels.
The Silver Queen I buy only has white kernels, no mixing
of yellow in the ears.

Corn that is eaten as a (reasonably) fresh vegetable is "sweet" corn.
It's harvested at an immature stage, so its sugar content is higher
and its seed coat is softer.
"Dent" corn is used for animal feed and as feedstock for industrial
processes such as ethanol or high-frucose corn syrup manufacture. It's
also used for cornmeal, grits, polenta, and masa harina.
A third type, "flint" corn, is grown in much lower quantities. Popcorn
is flint corn, as is the colored corn used as autumnal decorations.

also used for cornmeal, grits, polenta, and masa harina.
A third type, "flint" corn, is grown in much lower quantities. Popcorn
is flint corn, as is the colored corn used as autumnal decorations.
against FOOD. Tonight I'll be making tex-mex tacos using corn
tortillas. We all know he has something against eating meat. I suppose
he has a problem with cheese, too.

What the hell does Bruce have against corn? He's always yapping about >>>>> it. Just for fun I'm going to cook some corn on the cob tonight.
It just seems to be one of those issues that he uses to get the
attention he craves.
They do grow and eat sweet corn in Australia.

Now I'm wondering. Is corn that people eat always sweet corn, which is
not GM most of the time? Where does non sweet corn go? Animal fodder?
Maybe I have to talk to my artificially intelligent acquaintance about
this.

Don't forget about Aloha Shoyu and loco moco. I suppose you can also
kick in Nutella, Kewpie mayo, ketchup, "fish", corn, corn syrup, HFCF,
Spam, Spam musubi, poi, and Hawaiian plate lunch. There's other stuff
but it's mostly anything you can name. You probably don't like bowling
and toddlers too.
