But, today was different. I haven't tried it yet but my wife has. She

I had Tillamook ice cream for the first time when I was in NJ. I was
not impressed. We had cherry vanilla.

    I'll stick with Haagen Dazs.

The best cherry vanilla used to be Breyers back in the 60s. The company
has been sold a few times and each time the quality took a hit and has
    been crap for years.

    Tillamook vanilla:
Cream, Skim Milk, Milk, Sugar, Pasteurized Egg Yolks, Vanilla Extract,
Tara Gum, Guar Gum, Natural Flavor

    I'll stick with Haagen Dazs.

    Haagen Dazs vanilla:
Cream, skim milk, sugar, egg yolks, vanilla extract

Why vanilla? Because it can't hide anything.

we have this place in Genesee County NY, they make their own
hard ice cream. there's always something for everyone available
year 'round including sherbert and no sugar added.

I'd make peach or strawberry when they were in season and perfect
ripeness. You just can't buy that at any cost.

I'd make a peach or strawberry sundae with Haagen Dazs vanilla.
