  • I lost the auction

    Ferris Bueller's vest sold at auction today. I was out bid.

    Figured if I won, I'd donate it to Goodwill so I offered $10. Turns out
    is sold for $279,400.

    I don't get it. I'd have thought 10 bucks too high.

    That is a cool movie. It has been aired a few times lately. Much of it
    was filmed not far from where my wife's family lived.

    A strange thing happened a few years back. My wife's cousin's husband
    died and my wife and son went to the funeral. I don't know why the
    funeral was there. While the cousin had grown up in Chicago and
    Winnetca, her husband was from New Mexico. Wife and son went on a
    little tour and saw the high school that was one of the settings of the
    movie and then they went for lunch. They went into a random restaurant
    and were just sitting down when he cousin walked in. They had last seen
    each other about 10 years earlier when we went to their son's wedding in Colorado.

    That's not strange, nor surprising Dave. You personally know everyone

    Are you saying they organised a rogue funeral, without consulting Dave
    Smith first? The gall!
