• REVERSE CARD COUNTING Blackjack System

From ionsaliu@gmail.com@21:1/5 to All on Tue Apr 19 09:59:03 2016
    * The new reversed card counting strategy considers the minus (negative) count, as opposed to the "traditional" plus-c(o)unt systems. The negative counts are far more favorable to DOUBLE DOWN hands, the most advantageous situations for blackjack players.
    There is a high percentage of double down sequences: 4+6, 5+5, 5+6, even 3+6, 4+5. Or, 9+2, 8+2/3, 7+2/3/4/A.

    * We simply count the Ten-valued cards as 1, 2, 3,.., as they are dealt. We don't have to remember the previous rounds. We don't even count the Aces, as they become also 1-values (serving the purpose of doubling down).

What you gonna do, casinos? Hire new "consultants" to chase the 'reversed counters'?

Play also an original blackjack system for beginning-of-shoe only.

It is a mathematical fact that the beginning of a shoe favors the player. There is a 4.8% chance for a blackjack natural and an 8% probability for a double down hand. That's because the player is paid 1.5 times or 2 times the initial bet, while the
dealer is always paid 1 to 1. Also importantly, the player will not bust in those two case scenarios, while the dealer can bust.

Now, keeping track of the Tens-only serves a good purpose as regards INSURANCE BETTING.

    • If the proportion of Tens is ‘negative’, then the insurance bet has a higher degree of certainty DC.
    • We consider the cutoff value to be ONE THIRD of Tens removed from the deck. The average amount of cards per hand is 3. The cutoff value of Tens out is 1. We multiply by the number of blackjack players at the table PLUS the dealer.
    • For example, if there are 7 players plus the dealer, the cutoff value is 8 Tens out in the first two cards dealt to every player, plus Dealer’s up-card.
    • A ‘negative’ (favorable!) count is everything above the cutoff value. In the example above, if the ‘count’ is 8+4, it is strongly recommended to take insurance.
    • A ‘negative’ (favorable!) count of 8+8: taking insurance is a NO-BRAINER!

Now, keeping track of the Tens-only serves a good purpose as regards INSURANCE BETTING.

    • In the ‘Counting System In-Reverse’: The larger the amount of Tens OUT (removed), the higher degree of certainty DC to get a DOUBLE-DOWN hand in the next round.
    • Inversely, for the ‘Insurance Bet’: The larger the amount of Tens LEFT (REMAINING) in THIS round, the higher degree of certainty to win the ‘Insurance Bet’.
    • We consider the cutoff value to be ONE THIRD of Tens removed from the deck. There are 2 cards per hand for each player and the dealer. Total cards dealt: 16.
    • For example, if there are 7 players plus the dealer, the cutoff value is 16/3 = 5 Tens OUT in the first two cards.
    • A ‘positive’ (favorable!) count is everything UNDER the cutoff value. In the example above, if the ‘10-count’ is (5 – 2), it is recommended to take insurance.
    • A ‘10-count’ figure of 5 or above: Do not take insurance (house advantage is 12% on average).

There is no doubt that the negative counts are more favorable to the blackjack player than the positive counts. Reason: potentially more double down hands. The Tens can never form a doubling down hand.

But don’t get me wrong. I never meant this sui generis card-counting system was an automatic winner. It is prone to the same drawback as the “traditional” card counting systems: There are more losing sequences compared to the winning situations.
Card counting is like a cult: The “faithful” must increase the bet in ALL “favorable” situations. The bet increase is automatic, but the counting reality is not. There are more losing situations than winning cases!
