On autopilot I'd make the 11 point but I'm not on autopilot.
For example, yesterday I watched the new film, The Menu.
While watching the film, I decided to mentally calculate (2x+3) ^ 3.
After I'd found all the coefficients and nailed them down in my memory,
I verified that -1.5 was indeed a zero of the resultant polynomial.

Would somebody watching a film on autopilot do that?
    I would say not.
So I would also be unlikely to be on autopilot while making a backgammon play.

This is an early position, (when errors don't cost
much yet), that I don't find interesting to discuss
but as you seem to be trying to get me interested,
I'll oblige this time but may ignore future "reptile
    brain" threads.

    On auto-pilot, I would play "bar/21 13/11". If I took
a second look before picking up the dice, the only
other play I would consider, (but may or may not
make depending on my mood), is "bar/23 11/7".
And I wouldn't care a bit what the bots would say...

O has no board, so I'd hit loose on the five point. QF says that's
wrong, but auto-pilot or not that's my play here. Behind in the race
and having more checkers back point to bold play, plus O has no board.

Try this again with less autopilot (I thought the roll was 62 for some
reason, which seemed to clearly point to 11/5*)

With a roll of 42, making the eleven point is "obvious" but 7/5* looks
better for the same reasons that 11/5* looked best when I thought the
    roll was 62.

Not everyone's "reptile brain" is the same. I know players who
would automatically hit here, and others who would automatically
cover the 11pt. Magriel's criteria suggest a bold play here.
Hitting gains a tempo, interfering with O's ability to make her
4pt or her 5pt on her next roll. If O rolls poorly, X could even
launch an attack, picking up another blot; if O hits back, X has
    backgame chances.

Not everyone's "reptile brain" is the same.

I think it works like this:
For each species of reptile r, every person has a mapping
that maps their brain to that reptile's brain.

But different people are using different reptiles and thereby generating different plays.
    I used the viviparous lizard.

While using their reptile brains, what you
call "persons" are themselves a species
of reptile. Thus, no mapping is necessary.

But different people are using different
    reptiles and thereby generating different
plays. I used the viviparous lizard.

What a coincidence! I used that one also.

    Apparently "not every viviparous lizard's
brain" is the same either... ;) Will you now
map our viviparous lizard's brains to yet
    other species/subspecies of creatures? :)

My post was to show your illogical application
of mathematics, (as mathematicians or wanna
be mathematicians are constantly tempted to
do with everything, everywhen), by making fun,
(without any malice), of your mathematizing in
mathematese beginning with that trite phrase
    "for each something X, every Y..." :)

But I'm glad that you won't repeat it, at least not
regarding reptiles because I personally feel that
I'm totally reptiled out for now... :(
