A woman has been charged with her boyfriend's murder in St. Paul at the weekend.

Jacquelyn Olivia Vann, 51, is accused of fatally stabbing 55-year-old Pierre Scott Glass during a fight the two had at Vann's home on the 700 block of Dayton Avenue Saturday night.

Vann's 26-year-old son told authorities the two had been involved in a romantic relationship for about 10 years and that their relationship was "good."

According to the complaint, officers went to the intersection of Marshall Avenue and Arundel Street where they found Glass with a stab wound to the chest. He was rushed to Regions Hospital, where he later died.

Glass's ex-wife told police that Glass called her and said: "She stabbed me," "I'm leaving the house," and "I'm bleeding," referring to his girlfriend, Vann.

Officers spoke with Vann's son who said while the two had been in a relationship for a decade, Glass didn't live with Vann. The son said they were "alcoholics" and said they "bickered," but he never witnessed them to have violent interactions towards
    each other.

Vann's son said he got home around 5:30 p.m. and Glass apparently left to get food around the same time. The complaint states at 6:40 p.m., the son received a text from Glass describing an altercation that happened. It said:

“She drunk and call me a couple b****** and slapped me, so I slapped her back she rusted me and I stepped to the side and her stupid a** fell I did to much for her to act like that way with me. Then said you will fight me [laughing emoji].”

The son said he tried to call Glass around 7:20 p.m. but it went to voicemail. When he asked his mother what happened, she claimed she didn't remember because they were drinking. He said he didn't hear from Glass for the rest of the night and went to bed.
He was awoken by his mother around 11 p.m., who said to him: "P is dead."

Vann initially told police over the phone that Glass picked her up from work around 5:30 p.m. and they went to her house on Dayton Avenue. She said Glass didn't like what Vann was cooking, so he said he was leaving to go to Subway. She claimed she didn't
hear from him after that and he didn't return to the house.

When police went to the home, they spotted blood droplets on the ground leading to the door, and inside the entry of the home.

Investigators found that Glass and Vann exchanged text messages from 6:31-6:59 p.m. When she was confronted with the cell phone data, Vann told police she "must've deleted those texts."

According to the complaint, Vann changed her story and said she and Glass argued at the home and he left. She said Glass then came back through the back door and "pushed her head into a radiator." She then "grabbed something and swung at him, striking
him." Vann claimed she didn't know what she used and claimed she didn't know she stabbed him.

Police noticed that Vann had scratches on her nose, lips and inside her mouth, and she also had a "bruise on her left shoulder and a chipped tooth."

The complaint states Vann told Glass's brother they were "tussling" but denied being a "battered woman" when asked if Glass was an "oppressor." She also said they had never "fought like that before."

Vann is charged with 2nd-degree murder without intent. She faces up to 40 years in prison if convicted. Vann's first court appearance is scheduled for Wednesday morning.
