I needed to move the Ultra the other day , and much to my surprise I
got no front brakes . Not a big surprise as I don't think that master cylinder has ever been serviced/rebuilt . I'm looking at kits online
and I see two sizes - 11/16 and 5/8 bore . And I'm not sure which I've
got . It's a 1990 Ultra Classic with dual front discs ... anybody know
which it will be ? I'd kinda like to have the parts on hand when I take
it apart .

I've got the same parts book he's looking at . Turns out it's the aftermarket sellers that have the same part number on both versions .
Found and ordered the correct one .

Since modern Harley front brakes tend to be so soft I'd probably go with
the larger cylinder just out of reflex. I recall on Patti's 92 Fatboy I upsized the front master and it started to perform almost as well as a Honda. On her 2003 RoadGlide under warranty "properly" setup I could
grip the lever and make it touch the grip.

These were never what I'd call "soft" ... but I am considering
replacing the stock lines with braided ones and doing a complete system
flush .

Oh, I almost forgot. The old stock with the raised painted label is better. The stuff with the paper label is, "Meh, just another okay rye."

Pretty tasty too at first sip . I'll have to do further research to see
