Anyone know the Mezzo-soprano, Joy Davidson. I know she did Carmen at NYC opera several years ago. I played a recital for her in Louisiana in 1982 and would like to find out if she's still singing or where she's located. The most memorable was the conductor's attacca once Don Jose had made up his mind about Carmen and there was noneed to waste heading for the finale. The orchestra, chorus and soloists all seemed to by to this sense of urgency needed as they charged toward the tragic end. I have seen it 4 times now and other productions, but none have come close to that experience.
