    So Cassidy is a recurring character, a badass, hothead cop with a short fuse but basically ok guy. A popular enough
    character that there have been Cassidy marathons on syndicated TV.

    It’s been what, 25-30 seasons, but I’ve never seen a single episode of Law and Order—even though my sister-in-law’s mother has appeared periodically as an actor on it. Am I a bad person?
