My choice is almost certainly "Double Crossing Blues" I can't think of
    anything
else on Savoy that I rate higher.

I like that Larry Harrison record but I like the earlier Billy "The Kid" Emerson
    "Move Baby Move" better

    Disagree.
Before you posted this message, I listened to Billy's version and
was disappointed by the relatively poor production quality of the Sun recording. Also, when comparing the two versions, Billy's rough-edged over-emphasized vocal is less palatable than Larry's clean solid
    vocal.

    Let others compare the two:

Johnny Otis Quintette, vocals by The Robins and Little Esther - Double
    Crossing Blues [Savoy 731-A] - Jan 1950, recorded Dec 1, 1949 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uqtyxt2Ze9I

Let's see if we can find some equally good or even more popular Savoy recordings, for example, Nappy Brown's "Don't Be Angry".

The only thing they have in common is a title. It's like me saying that
I like "Venus" by the Shocking Blue better than "Venus" by Avalon.

Oh come on! Yes they are different songs but they have VERY similar
structures if different lyrics and of course both are heavily rooted in
    "Shake Rattle And Roll"

The two "Venus" songs are totally different
