    His Gibson J-160e "hollowbox" is on display at the Rock Hall of Fame in Cleveland.

    I saw him at the Lone Star Cafe with a very small crowd. I stood about 4
    feet directly from him watching his fingers on the guitar all night.
    Would have ben prefect for guys like you and Jim who would know what
    they were watching.

    I'm envious. Probably one of my favorite pickers , though that's
    probably not the correct word for how how played that guitar. I would've
    loved to have experienced that. It sounds like those fingers mesmerized
    you all night.

    Exactly, it was mesmerizing. This would been around 1979 I think.
