For the past three days, I've tried (and failed) to get into Nova BBS.
Looks like I won't be posting to the '50s group anymore.

    Roger says:
    It gets worse.
Yesterday Nova in its wisdom decided it would be a good idea to refuse
my password so tho i can still access it (in a long and arduous way) I
can't now make any kind of new post .

I told them there are inexpensive usenet servers out there but...it's
really hard to start paying for something you've always had for free.

And for the record, I just took on a $490-a-month car payment (for the next
six years). As such, I need all the free stuff I can get!

    There's a lot they can't see.

But they are getting very little to nothing for "free."

Dean and I are getting everything we need for free with this newsgrouper.org. It's just that it's not available in the UK so Roger needs to do something else.

Neither. It's a 2025 Toyota Corolla. That car is so state-of-the-art, it came with four owner's manuals! One is just for the media system. The car also has so
many safety features, it would take a conscious effort on my part to crash it.

I bought that car the first weekend of June, at the beginning of my annual month-
long vacation. I broke it in by driving from Connecticut to Niagara Falls, across
southern Ontario to Detroit--where I visited the Motown Museum--then south to Ohio
to see my cousin and her five grandkids (ages 4-11). From there, I drove home through Pennsylvania and New York.

I put 3,000 miles on that Corolla the first month I had it!

Everyone here may already know about JLA Forums, but if not, it's a basically good replacement for the now apparently defunct Nova BBS.

True, Newsgrouper is pretty good, as well. I've been using it for the poetry newsgroup but haven't explored it a lot yet
