Knowing it is going to be hot for the foreseeable future, I had a couple
chores to finish up on the inside today. Had to go out and get some
parts for the project and couldn't believe how bad it was. Heat like
this didn't bother me when I was younger, but it sure the hell does now.
I can't imagine being out trying to enjoy camping in heat like this.
My brother living in Florida says he is getting used to it, but I don't
think I ever could. It's just unbearable, and unlike the cold where you
just put on another layer, you can't get away from it....unless of
course you stay in the house. Oppressive is putting it mildly!

Me too. Two trees out front of our house badly needed trimming,
so I got a relatively early start this morning--trying to beat the
heat. By the time I was done, I was whupped.

Sent this pic to a friend who's big time into theater, and told
him, "Just call me the Mad Barber of Shrewsbury Dr.'

His reply? "Come hear the tale of Sweeney Ted." Very clever.

I know, right? Sitting in the trailer with the AC blasting just
doesn't appeal. I've been wondering if there are places north of
here that might be cooler, but I bet we would have to drive a
    *long* way. Grumble.

Well, it looks like the temps may be tolerable up toward Lake Superior, and
it's only two days travel from us--so maybe that's an option for a camping
trip in the near future. Anyone have recommendations?

I posted last year about a place we stayed up in what's known as "The
Porkies." Campground was right on the southern shore of Lake Superior.
Good place to go for riding bikes along the lake, too. Worst thing was
the biting flies everywhere, and the skeeters in the wooded areas.

We've also been up in the Upper Peninsula area and stayed around
Munising. Lots of things to do up there, but we stayed in a cabin and
    didn't RV it.

You're an artiste! That isn't easy to do. Looks great, though!
