(CNN)A hard plastic case that an employee said exploded in the virtual reality lab of Northeastern University wasn't sent to the lab through
the postal service, according to multiple sources.
Law enforcement sources say the employee told investigators that when he opened the case Tuesday evening it depressurized with the force of an explosion.
But Boston Police and FBI bomb technicians didn't find any evidence of explosives nor an initiation system capable of causing an explosion, a
source briefed on the investigation told CNN.
The package contained a rambling note that criticized Facebook founder
Mark Zuckerberg and the relationship between academic institutions and
the developers of virtual reality, several federal law enforcement
sources told CNN. ------------------------------------------------------------- https://www.cnn.com/2022/09/14/us/northeastern-university-boston-package-detonation-wednesday/index.html
I guess you could say it was a virtual bomb.

I don't think you could see that one, even with the best VR headset.
"BOSTON —
Multiple law enforcement sources tell 5 Investigates that authorities
are now looking into whether the Northeastern University employee who reported that a Pelican-style case exploded when he opened it Tuesday
night staged the incident.
Those sources also told 5 Investigates on Wednesday that there was no explosive material found at the scene inside Holmes Hall and that the employee's injuries were not consistent with those typically suffered
during an explosion.
A federal official who spoke with The Associated Press on the condition
of anonymity said investigators identified inconsistencies in the employee’s statement and became skeptical."

Shoot! I thought maybe we had another UniBomber on the loose! Instead, I'm wondering if "the Employee", didn't just punch himself in the face a few times, scribble out a note, & spin some big windy, about a bomb?
In the future, everyone will be famous for 15 mins...
