Even today, the most effective form of advertising is word of mouth. And every little bit helps. You wouldn't understand, but geometric progression is a bitch. I probably wouldn't have noticed this silly story if you hadn't brought it to my
attention. Those ads aren't an accident. Nike and Bud put a lot of: thought, time and money into pissing off fascists because it's effective advertising.

    bill
Theory don't mean squat if it don't work.

There is no "right" one. That's sort of my point. I lot of people think there is. You and our jive ass troll are examples of this. Your choices are mostly defined by what you don't drink. You know, for example, lite beer promoted by people whose
gender identity is questionable. Because, LOL, the rotten barley water tastes "watery"? Or just about anything with fruit in it, unless you were drug or accidentally stumbled into a Tiki bar. Have you ever voluntarily drank a flavored malt beverage? In
    this century?

I got bored with beer a long time ago. I still drink it at times, but mostly when it pairs well with certain foods. Like my very American version of tacos or maybe pizza. My long time favorite is apple juice that yeast pissed in so much they
killed themselves. It's too sweet to pair well with pizza or any sort of taco. But, I like many types of rotten fruit juice. I usually have a bottle of Kahlua around. My last bottle died of old age and I haven't replaced it. I have rum for mixed drinks
and a bottle of a nice dark rum for sipping. I don't kid myself that any of it tastes better than any other yeast piss. It's just different than other yeast piss. Like everyone my tastes are mostly determined by the culture I grew up in. "Better" didn't
come in the bottle. It came from my head.

My favorite beer is still Budweiser, or Coors, or any of the hundreds of beers that all taste pretty much the same to me. I do like a German import every now and then, And sometimes a nice dark foamy Porter. I've tried craft beers that tasted
pretty much the same as Bud, etc. I don't know what their point was, other than it was another way to sell beer.

In case there's any doubt: I do have an image I buy and I can even give it a label. I'd call it western American hipster. Which shouldn't be confused with either urban hipsters or hippies. I don't think we have an official yeast piss. For ordinary
working class American males the official yeast piss is Budweiser or Coors, or any of the hundreds of beers that all taste pretty much the same. Because they are all pretty much the same favorites among them is usually determined by political preferences
or other aspects of their image that they project.

A person's self-image can have a significant impact on the beer they
like to drink. Self-image is defined as the mental picture that an individual has of themselves. It is shaped by many factors, such as upbringing, culture, experiences, and relationships. This self-image influences an individual's preferences, choices, and behaviors,
including the type of beer they prefer.

For instance, a person with a self-image of being adventurous and risk-taking may prefer bold and hoppy beers, such as India Pale Ales
(IPAs) or Imperial Stouts. These beers have intense flavors and higher alcohol content, which may appeal to those seeking a more intense experience.

On the other hand, a person with a self-image of being
health-conscious and mindful of their diet may prefer light and
low-calorie beers, such as light lagers or wheat beers. These beers
have fewer calories and are less filling, making them a popular choice
for those who are health-conscious or watching their weight.

Furthermore, a person's self-image can also influence the way they
perceive the social aspect of drinking beer. For example, a person who identifies as outgoing and social may prefer beers that are popular
and trendy, such as craft beers or flavored beers. These types of
beers are often associated with socializing and being part of a group.

In contrast, a person who identifies as introverted or reserved may
prefer more traditional and classic beers, such as Pilsners or Amber
Ales. These beers have a more established reputation and may appeal to individuals who value tradition and simplicity.

In conclusion, a person's self-image can significantly impact the type
of beer they prefer. This relationship between self-image and beer preference is complex and multifaceted, and it highlights how personal identity and social perceptions play a crucial role in shaping our
tastes and preferences. Understanding this relationship can help us

"Why is Kid Rock shooting Bud Light cans? Explaining the latest anti-trans boycott
The country-rock performer is among those apparently triggered by the beer giant's decision to partner with Dylan Mulvaney, a transgender activist and influencer"

If you’ve spent any time on the internet this week, you’ve probably seen the viral video of Kid Rock — near a lake and wearing a gray “MAGA” cap on backward — shooting at a table topped with a stack of Bud Light cans with an assault-style
    rifle.

“Let me say something to all of you and be as clear and concise as possible,” he says in the short clip, which has been viewed nearly 50 million times since it was posted to Twitter on Tuesday night. He then opens fire on the beer cans and adds: “F*
    ** Bud Light. And f*** Anheuser-Busch.”

So, you might be wondering, why is Kid Rock shooting Bud Light cans with an assault-style rifle and cursing out the beer and its parent company?

Well, the answer, as it turns out, is fairly simple and has nothing to do with the country-rock performer’s taste in domestic beer."

"On Saturday, Dylan Mulvaney, a transgender actress, activist and influencer, posted a video to Instagram promoting Bud Light as part of a sponsored partnership with the brand.

In the video, Mulvaney appears dressed as Holly Golightly, Audrey Hepburn’s character in “Breakfast at Tiffany’s,” showing off a custom Bud Light can with her face on it. The company sent it to her, she said, to help her celebrate one year of “
girlhood” — a milestone she recently reached in her transitioning.

Right-wing media figures, including some on Fox News, quickly called for a boycott of Bud Light and Anheuser-Busch, the St. Louis-based company that produces over 100 beer brands, including Budweiser, Busch, Michelob Ultra and Stella Artois."

"On Wednesday, country music star Travis Tritt announced a boycott of all Anheuser-Busch products."

Mulvaney, 26, posed for a series of pictures and videos promoting the brand's sports bra and leggings - Mulvaney identifies as a woman and uses the pronouns 'she/they' but has not yet had gender reassignment surgery.

Former Olympic champion and transgender reality star Jenner, 73, who has been an open opponent of trans females that were born male competing in female sports - slammed Nike's decision as an 'outrage' in tweets on Thursday.

There is no "right" one. That's sort of my point. I lot of people think there is. You and our jive ass troll are examples of this. Your choices are mostly defined by what you don't drink. You know, for example, lite beer

You mean alcoholic water, don't you.

promoted by people whose gender identity is questionable. Because, LOL,
the rotten barley water tastes "watery"? Or just about anything with
fruit in it, unless you were drug or accidentally stumbled into a Tiki
bar. Have you ever voluntarily drank a flavored malt beverage? In this
    century?

For
ordinary working class American males the official yeast piss is Budweiser or Coors, or any of the hundreds of beers that all taste pretty much the same. Because they are all pretty much the same favorites among them is usually determined by political
preferences or other aspects of their image that they project.

LOL! At the end of the day going forward, I'm literally self-compelled
to give you high praise - you're the best bullshabbler I've ever
known. Are there favorite yeast pisses for that projected image?

However comma after more research, I allege that you may have to take
a close second place to this response from an artificial intelligence
    of my acquaintance:
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A person's self-image can have a significant impact on the beer they
like to drink. Self-image is defined as the mental picture that an
individual has of themselves. It is shaped by many factors, such as
upbringing, culture, experiences, and relationships. This self-image
influences an individual's preferences, choices, and behaviors,
including the type of beer they prefer.

For instance, a person with a self-image of being adventurous and
risk-taking may prefer bold and hoppy beers, such as India Pale Ales
(IPAs) or Imperial Stouts. These beers have intense flavors and higher
alcohol content, which may appeal to those seeking a more intense
    experience.

For example, a person who
identifies as outgoing and social may prefer beers that are popular
and trendy, such as craft beers or flavored beers. These types of
beers are often associated with socializing and being part of a group.

In contrast, a person who identifies as introverted or reserved may
prefer more traditional and classic beers, such as Pilsners or Amber
Ales. These beers have a more established reputation and may appeal to
individuals who value tradition and simplicity.

In conclusion, a person's self-image can significantly impact the type
of beer they prefer. This relationship between self-image and beer
preference is complex and multifaceted, and it highlights how personal
identity and social perceptions play a crucial role in shaping our
tastes and preferences. Understanding this relationship can help us
gain a deeper insight into the human psyche and how we make choices in
    our everyday lives.

and even he couldn't describe the "beer drinking experience" any better
that bill! I nearly wept, when I read how "self image" plays such a

I've been boycotting Bud Light since I first literally tasted one back >>>>>>> in the '80s......ummmm...so, does that make me, like,
    a visionary?

Well, look. So in the interest of transparency and
truthiness, I didn't start boycotting right after the
first one. I tried one more later on just in case my
taste buds were having an off day on the first try.
    They apparently weren't.

Aawwww, that's sooo cute. You've put Blue Moon beer in
your mouth and you still think taste has something to do
    with selling yeast piss.

I don't like Blue Moon either, and I'm pretty sure I
haven't tried anything on that list. At the end of the day
going forward, I don't care if taste has or has not
anything to do with selling it, but it has to do with me
buying it more than once. -- bill Theory don't mean squat

lol, Yeah, customers like you are why beer commercials always
talk about the taste of their product and never ever try to

Face it. You are just as much of a yeast piss snob as an lib
sipping some fancy wine. You have ALWAYS been quick to tell us
what you drink, and by a strange coincidence it matches your
personal image. The image you buy is ordinary American male. Cars
and yeast piss are sold by the images associated with them. It's
rotten barley water flavored with hops and you still think, LOL,
some of it tastes better than other rotten barley water flavored
    with hops.

I have never claimed to be clairvoyant. And I missed the post where you announced that your long time relationship with Red Dog had died. Aawww, that's so sad. And you even went so crazy that you drank a Stella Artois? Oh my goodness! Budweiser
with a fancy label. And another American style lager that isn't all that different from from hundreds of other American style lagers. There isn't much room to change the flavor because it doesn't have all that much flavor to start with and that's what "
ordinary working class American males want. I sometimes drink American style lager too. But, I don't go on for year after year praising my favorite brand. You do it because it's part of your image.

"OT - The end of a long relationship

    Sep 23, 2014, 2:22:41 PM

I just got the official word that, although Red Dog is still being
brewed by MillerCoors, it's no longer being distributed in my area
(which means, in my case, at least more than a 100-mile radius around
me). This, in turn, means that the Dog and I will no longer have the relationship we both have had for about 2 decades. It's a sad blow to
a way of life to which I've become accustomed.

Also, my email address (reddog @ rye.net) has now become a
halfanachronism (Jim Beam rye is still available in this area -
although the nearest place is 55 miles away).

And now that I'm required to make a big 'shift' in my life, I find it serendipitous - or maybe even visionary - that I've already been test
    driving Third Shift beer.

I have 3 Dogs left, and I intend to sip them slowly, savor them, and
remember the Good Times associated with them. I may even save the last
one until it's cool enough here to build a campfire to help soothe my
damaged soul as I lovingly start the Last Dog on the journey to its
first waypoint - the aquifer below my house.

I will appreciate any sympathy and cheering-up you may have to offer.
But hold the prayers - I don't think prayer would be appropriate for
either me or the Last Dog.

"American lager or North American lager is pale lager that is produced in the United States. The pale lager-style beer originated in Europe in the mid-19th century, and moved to the US with German immigrants. As a general trend outside of Bavaria and the
Czech Republic where the beers may be firmly hopped, pale lager developed as a modestly hopped beer, and sometimes used adjuncts such as rice or corn – and this was also true in the US.

Worldwide, the best-known American lager is Anheuser-Busch InBev's Budweiser, though prominent brands are also made by MillerCoors (Coors Light, Miller Genuine Draft, etc.) Pale lager is the predominant choice among the largest brewing companies of
United States of America, although it is not common in U.S. microbreweries. Likewise, in Canada the biggest-selling commercial beers, including both domestics such as Molson Canadian, Labatt Blue, Kokanee, Carling Black Label, and Old Style Pilsner, and
imports such as Budweiser and Coors are very lightly hopped pale lagers. This is by far the largest-selling style in Canada.[1] Just as in the United States, Canadian microbrewers typically do not produce North American-style pale lagers.

Other terms for this type of beer, or sub-categories within it, include "adjunct lager", "American-style light lager", "American-style low-carbohydrate light lager", "American-style lager", "American-style premium lager" (a term used at the World Beer
Cup), "North American style-lager" and "North American-style premium lager" (terms used at the Canadian Beer Awards)."

"Bud Light draws backlash after promoting trans activist Dylan Mulvaney, but marketing pros say it’s a smart move

‘In 20 years, concerns like this are going to be laughed at,’ one marketing expert says. Kid Rock begs to differ."

"“They’ve made the calculations,” said Matthew Berman, the chief executive of Emerald Digital, a marketing company based in New York and New Orleans.

Bud Light is an established brand that likely appeals to an older demographic, Berman noted. By working with Mulvaney, whose Instagram post showed her holding Bud Light cans featuring her image, the brand — which is part of the Anheuser-Busch BUD, -0.
24% family — could be aiming to appeal to a younger, Gen Z demographic that is often supportive of the trans community, Berman said.

    ‘They’ve made the calculations.’

    — marketing executive Matthew Berman on why brands are willing to promote trans activists, even if it results in backlash
Anheuser-Busch isn’t denying that point. In a statement to MarketWatch, a company spokesperson said: “Anheuser-Busch works with hundreds of influencers across our brands as one of many ways to authentically connect with audiences across various
    demographics.”

The spokesperson added that the commemorative can with Mulvaney’s image is not available to the general public, but was “a gift to celebrate a personal milestone.” Mulvaney, who didn’t respond to a MarketWatch request for comment, recently marked
what she billed as 365 “days of being a girl.”

Marketing expert Thomas Donohoe, author of “The CEO’s Digital Marketing Playbook,” said Bud Light’s strategy speaks to the way brands are starting to think in an age of multiple media outlets. A couple of generations ago, brands had limited
options to promote themselves, with broadcast television being the biggest, Donohoe noted.

Now brands can target messages to specific communities over specific platforms, he added, as Bud Light did in reaching out to Mulvaney, who in turn touted the brand over Instagram.

And while the brand might risk losing some customers with its Mulvaney promotion, Donohoe said this will be seen as a smart move years from now — with the idea that the trans community will become more widely accepted over time and will no longer face
    the prejudice it does today.

Donohoe added that it’s no different from how brands now feature other minority groups, such as the gay community, as part of campaigns in a way they didn’t generations ago.

“In 20 years, concerns like this are going to be laughed at,” Donohoe said of the fear of backlash."

"Marjorie Taylor Greene takes a laughable stand under the mistaken impression that beer has a gender"

"The offense being taken by Trump-supporting Republicans reached a hilarious new level when Kid Rock – or a member of his team – purchased a case of beer and then shot it to pieces with an assault rifle after the company partnered up with a
    transgender woman.

He’s spent the money on acquiring the goods, so Bud Light won’t care in the slightest what he does with it once they’ve taken his money, rendering the whole thing entirely pointless. Not to be outdone, everyone’s favorite blabbering idiot
Marjorie Taylor Greene has gotten in on the act, seemingly by operating under the impression that beer has a gender."

"Marjorie Taylor Greene claims ‘ignorant’ as her middle name by inadvertently becoming an LGBTQ+ ally with her latest rant
    Apeksha Bagchi Apr 8, 2023 4:41 pm

Have you ever heard someone who can conjure the most nonsensical argument to support their controversial thought train? If not, then meet Georgia Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene. Lately, she has been aiming barbs at alcohol brands for daring to not
support her anti-LGBTQ+ crusade. But with her recent tweet, aimed at mocking Bud Light for celebrating transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney, Greene ended up joining the other side she deeply abhors—the one made up of ardent LGBTQ+ allies.

"In the social media post, MTG attempted to make fun of Bud Light by spinning a caption that she definitely thought was hilariously witty."

"I would have bought the king of beers, but it changed it’s gender to the queen of beers.
So it’s made to chill from here on out. pic.twitter.com/QNC5j8qtKI

But Greene has never been a big fan of doing her homework or thinking before she spews whatever unfiltered word salad is inching its way out of her mouth. Because if she had taken the time to sit down and actually research before boasting her newfound
love for the beer brand Coors in an attempt to mock Bud Light, she would have found that the former has been a strong supporter of the LGBTQ+ community since the 1970s. ""

Yep, they have done their own research and they've seen the polls others have done. All of those companies knew exactly what they were doing.

"A GOP war on 'woke'? Most Americans view the term as a positive, USA TODAY/Ipsos Poll finds
By 56%-39%, Americans say 'woke' means being aware of social injustice, not being overly politically correct."

"Republican presidential hopefuls are vowing to wage a war on "woke," but a new USA TODAY/Ipsos Poll finds a majority of Americans are inclined to see the word as a positive attribute, not a negative one.

Fifty-six percent of those surveyed say the term means "to be informed, educated on, and aware of social injustices." That includes not only three-fourths of Democrats but also more than a third of Republicans.

Overall, 39% say instead that the word reflects what has become the GOP political definition, "to be overly politically correct and police others' words." That's the view of 56% of Republicans.

The findings raise questions about whether Republican campaign promises to ban policies at schools and workplaces they denounce as "woke" could boost a contender in the party's primaries but put them at odds with broader public opinion in the general
    election."

lol, If you can, do your own research. There has been more than one poll on this. The ones I've seen are all coming up with pretty much the same answer. I just picked that one because it came out on the top of my search and it was easy to
understand. Attacking my source is a frequent and boring response. It's very rare that someone comes up with better information than what I posted. I wasn't trying to convince you to be woke. I was pointing out there are solid reasons why these companies
have made their decisions. They are not blindly wandering around in a vacuum.

For the big corporations doing your own research means a lot more than polling. They have studied this up, down, backward, sideways and upside down. There would have been all sorts of focus groups and testing. They probably made all sorts of test
ads and tried them out on real live people. They could easily go out and try this idea in a limited market with some obscure product you never heard of. The big corporations, and some of the smaller ones, do all sorts of marketing testing. I have been
involved in some of that, in a small way, out in the trenches. Those people aren't dummies. They want to continue making the big bucks. They knew in advance that there would be a downside. I'd be willing to bet that they have a number for the predicted
downside and someone is watching those numbers closely to see how close their prediction was. I'd also be willing to bet that their predictions will turn out to be pretty accurate. As Ralph notes, it all about the Benjamins.

BTW I do appreciate your posts. Your jive ass brother is so inarticulate that most the time he can barely manage to repeat some lame flame he read somewhere. I was impressed by your honesty when you said you were afraid of chaos and confusion. I
can see why people who have a very narrow and rigid worldview would find this confusing.

You do realize your understanding of what is "better" is arbitrary? As
far as polls go, I find the entire culture of those who use them these
days to suffer from the same sorts of credibility issues the majority of
the news media is inflicted with. In the past, polls asked straight
forward questions where the answer pointed to a specific and well
defined concept. Everything is blurred today. The questions get shaped
to allow all the gray areas and cover for those answering them. An
example would be someone asking if you support Black Lives Matter. Most
people are either unaware of, or would be unwilling to speak of the
marxist origins and fraud in the group, and that though of course black
lives do matter they would prefer to say ALL lives matter. That gets
    you cancelled.

This issue is the same. I've already said adults can do whatever they
want in America, just leave the kids alone and let them grow up before sexualizing them. You would probably say that makes me a transphobe.

I wasn't trying to convince you to be woke. I was pointing out there are solid reasons why these companies have made their decisions. They are not blindly wandering around in a vacuum.

Everybody knows that. Yet, you are unwilling to believe that the people
in charge might have made decisions based on personal beliefs or that
they may have misjudged their clientele. As Bud Lite was the number one selling beer in America, even if they lose only half of their customers
or even less, it will be an expensive exercise.

been involved in some of that, in a small way, out in the trenches. Those people aren't dummies. They want to continue making the big bucks. They knew in advance that there would be a downside. I'd be willing to bet that they have a number for the
predicted downside and someone is watching those numbers closely to see how close their prediction was. I'd also be willing to bet that their predictions will turn out to be pretty accurate. As Ralph notes, it all about the Benjamins.

If I had stock in this company, I would sure hope so. Almost certainly
someone will have to answer that question at future shareholder
meetings. Personally, I don't really give a shit if they think this is
how the world should be. To me it isn't. That is how I will live, and
    my wallet will act accordingly.

BTW I do appreciate your posts. Your jive ass brother is so inarticulate that most the time he can barely manage to repeat some lame flame he read somewhere.

Whoever you're referring to probably already knows what a waste of time
these threads can be and just isn't willing to let it have theirs. I
should do the same. This isn't why I subscribed to this group. I
really have more important things to do.

I was impressed by your honesty when you said you were afraid of chaos and confusion. I can see why people who have a very narrow and rigid worldview would find this confusing.

Not sure what you're referring to. I'm not afraid of chaos and
confusion, I think it is what the left NEEDS to move forward. Keep
society in a constant state of it. Just as the Islamist needs Jihad,
violence, and forced conversion, the marxists need chaos. The only
thing that's confusing, is why otherwise intelligent people support the destruction and havoc it plays on society, while claiming it is for the
better of us all. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt for now, and
just consider you a true believer. That's at least honest. Most others
are just plain dumb and really don't even know what it is they support
or the consequences of doing so.

USA Today. Definitely my go to news outlet when I need some good
    leftist propaganda! Ha!

lol, If you can, do your own research. There has been more than one poll on this. The ones I've seen are all coming up with pretty much the same answer. I just picked that one because it came out on the top of my search and it was easy to understand.
Attacking my source is a frequent and boring response. It's very rare that someone comes up with better information than what I posted.
Most people are either unaware of, or would be unwilling to speak of the
marxist origins and fraud in the group, and that though of course black lives do matter they would prefer to say ALL lives matter. That gets
    you cancelled.

For the big corporations doing your own research means a lot more than polling. They have studied this up, down, backward, sideways and upside down. There would have been all sorts of focus groups and testing. They probably made all sorts of test ads

I hope you feel better after dumping that load of bullshit. Drag queens kill and injure almost no one, but you're all excited about the subject. I don't care enough to guess which ones, but you reek of phobias. You are just using children as
weapons in the culture war. Your real concern is very limited.

"Child Mortality In The U.S. Should Be Going Down, But It’s Rising. Here’s Why."

"“Rising death rates in children and teens is not happening in other countries. This is all an American phenomenon,” Woolf said.

What are we doing differently here? And, more critically, what can we do to reverse course?

What are the primary causes of death in children and adolescents?
Of the “hundreds and hundreds of causes of death that we study in children and adolescents,” Woolf said, “we’ve made tremendous progress for most of those major conditions.”

Injury, not disease, is behind the recent rise in deaths.

“We identified four causes of death that seemed to be the main drivers of this trend: suicide, homicide, drug overdoses and car accidents,” Woolf said.

None of these is a natural cause, meaning that each one of those deaths could have been prevented."

I got over it when I figured out who they were. Back in the day just about everyone in the circus had more than one job. The clowns were the roustabouts who didn't have enough talent or skill to do anything else between when they set the tent up
and when they took it down. The adults were used to it, but for kids they were grody old guys that we wouldn't have trusted even if they weren't wearing grease paint.
