No issues now that I'm using W/Dave's 'New Private Winndow' work around.
I can't get enough of little towns along the beautiful CA coast. Thanks Mr Duck!
I'd post some of the coastline we're about to travel to, but we're camping in a different state's National Parks and there you can only fly a drone if you apply for permission to the relevent Gov't Dep' t 10 days in advance together with Lat/Lon,
Cheers,
Magani

Cheers,Which State is that?
Magani
...or is that in the UK, or EU?
Even further afield - New South Wales (Australia).
I live in Queensland where at least we can fly drones in Nat Pks if we comply with the CASA (Civil Aviation Safety Authority) rules.

Again weird from work anyway, using FF 97.0.2 (64-bit) High seirra
, blank page with nothing in the URL bar, only way to get it to open is with right click
"open new private window"
and of course C&P too.I'm unclear what this has to do with Thunderbird!
If I hover my mouse pointer over Savageduck's link, way down in the
left-hand corner (next to the download symbol) I can see the anticipated
link showing along the bottom of the window.
As soon as I 'click' on Savageduck's link in the body of his post, the
video opens in Safari
(almost instantly).

Me niether, I haven't drunk Thunderbird wine since the late 80s.and of course C&P too.I'm unclear what this has to do with Thunderbird!
Preffered the ESQ over the blue or red label.
If I hover my mouse pointer over Savageduck's link, way down in the left-hand corner (next to the download symbol) I can see the anticipated link showing along the bottom of the window.I get that in FF 98.0 (64-bit) too.
But it still won't open the link, unless I right click & open in new private window.
Private windows don't store cookies or history so it must be something to do with
smugmug as it doesn't happen with other sites.
As soon as I 'click' on Savageduck's link in the body of his post, the video opens in SafariAll I have to do is remember to use the option of new private window which is quite handy
(almost instantly).
and should use more often anyway.

I've no understanding of your answer!!!Me niether, I haven't drunk Thunderbird wine since the late 80s.and of course C&P too.I'm unclear what this has to do with Thunderbird!

I should have checked before. I thought that like other Apple Mac users you'd have been using Mozilla Thunderbird to read Usenet groups.
It is FAR superior to Google Groups which, incidentally, displays your IP address.
If I click on the link using Google Groups, a file is downloaded onto my iMac.If I hover my mouse pointer over Savageduck's link, way down in the left-hand corner (next to the download symbol) I can see the anticipated link showing along the bottom of the window.I get that in FF 98.0 (64-bit) too.

Such file cannot be opened with any of my Applications. It says it is Zero Bytes!
Private windows don't store cookies or history so it must be something to do withThis is to do with Google - of that I'm fairly sure!

I CAN right-click, select open in new tab or open in new window ........ and the video plays away happily. :-DAs soon as I 'click' on Savageduck's link in the body of his post, the video opens in SafariAll I have to do is remember to use the option of new private window which is quite handy
