I only ever see the outbreak - killfile the lot of them as soon as they start, takes seconds.

I seriously doubt that things will ever improve while the cross posting trolls, and flame warriors continue to ruin what was once a useful forum.

It's a shame that more users don't post more questions/experiences - things have quietend down.

I might check in again sometime in the future, but I suspect that will be pointless.

Well, I certainly valued your posts. That's not to say I always agreed when
you had a POV, but at least it was worth reading.

I've always valued your posts, and I think that a killfile would significantly improve your experience.

I see little clutter now on r.p.d.

My photography skills are poor but as an occasional "lurker" on r.p.d.,
I've welcomed your knowledgeable input and more recently the drone videos.
The guys 'n' gals on u.c.s.m. will I'm sure miss your contributions too.

I try to kf the worst trolls but it would help if people stopped replying
    to them.

    Sorry to see you go.

Actually rpd is in a reasonably good shape. There is not much on-topic
traffic anymore, but the situation is not as bad as you describe it.

The biggest problem is that there are no new people joining this NG.

that's true for usenet in general, at least for discussion groups. what
usenet has become is a method of binary file transfer.

This message is in MIME format. The first part should be readable text,
while the remaining parts are likely unreadable without MIME-aware tools.

Was. It's also declining like text groups ... even 5 years ago bins were
    much bigger they are nowadays.

It would be nice to see text groups be as popular they were late 90's
early 2k ... will not happen though.

Your talents will be missed. Your drone videos are probably the closest
