• Skylighter's closing, hope Harry found a successor

Harry Gilliam's wanted to get out of the biz for about 3 yrs. now, and has announced closing. For our sake, I hope he found a buyer, because nobody's had anything like the selection he's had of materials.

It's my understanding that he has not found a buyer, and has finally
decided to just taper it down and out.

He's even older than me, and I cannot even _imagine_ dealing with that 'velocity' of business every day. There are more corks floating in that
water than anyone can keep under!

This won't be the last we see of Harry. He loves fireworks and
fireworkers. This is just the ending of an 'era'; one he sustained
    admirably.

I agree, Harry's not going away. I hope to see more of him at the
MAPAG shoots, now that he is 'retired'. He only lives about an hour's
drive from that shoot site, so no excuse for him not to show up <G>

But he's going down like the businessman he is. I thought he'd keep the 75% off sale going until he could sweep the warehouse clean, but no! So I paid full price for a couple items by the time I knew my living expenses would be good for a while.

Been buying from him for 20+ years I bet. Anyone where were going to get our hobby chems from?

He had the best collection of pyro books to be found anywhere if at all. I will miss that.
