I’m not into FT8, but I acknowledge that data modes are popular and new modes pop up from time-to-time that become popular. I can’t see that FT8 is preventing anyone from using other modes, or that adding new and popular
ways to communicate, is a bad thing. I also can’t see how anyone can conclude that RF data modes are “not amateur radio”.
