Passed my foundation license at the weekend, I'm researching what antenna
to build/buy - what are good first options I should look at?

What bands am I interested in? Great question: I got into the hobby after reading about the 6m band, but Im happy to start with 2m, or 70cm, or
    whatever you recommend!
I feel more confident about the radio hardware, but would be open to suggestions there too! I of course have started with a handheld Baofang.

    AM radio question okay?

    Posted: 23 Mar 2022 11:34 AM PDT https://www.reddit.com/r/amateurradio/comments/tl6q44/am_radio_question_okay/

I know this isnt strictly ham related but could someone point me in the direction of a good AM radio? Do they all use digital tuning now (even if appears to still be the old style scale)? If new isnt a good option, are
there old ones that I could pick up on eBay that you could recommend? It
would be great if it also picked up ham, weather etcetera but the most important thing to me is long range AM reception because I am in the middle
    of nowhere.

Got my license, made contacts, but where can I start learning more?

    Posted: 23 Mar 2022 03:35 PM PDT https://www.reddit.com/r/amateurradio/comments/tlj3sh/got_my_license_made_contacts_but_where_can_i/

Ive taken my test, received my call sign, and got a few contacts under my
belt, but Im eager to learn more. Theres still a wealth of technical
know-how thats beyond me, and while, sure, I can make contact, I dont feel
as though I really truly understand radio. I was wondering if yall had any advice on where to start learning more? Any book recommendations, YouTube channels, ect that might help me flesh out my knowledge and learn a bit
    more? submitted by /u/JasminumOfficinales
