• MFJ 1210/1212

From Bill Gunshannon@21:1/5 to All on Fri Dec 16 12:43:58 2022
Any idea why this particular device was written out of history?
I have a 1210 that belonged to my father (KA3ILE SK) but no info
on it. I have searched the web including the MFJ site and the
only thing I have found is an advertisement in 73's Magazine.
No user manuals, no schematics, no old software. Even the MFJ
site itself has not even a mention of it.

If anyone has the schematic and/or the users manual I would love
    to get a copy.

Have you tried just contacting MFJ and asking them? They are pretty good
    about responding to such questions...

No, not at this point. I am just wondering why this particular
device was removed from everywhere. Other similar devices from
the same time period are still floating around the web but this
    one has disappeared.

I guess they are not alone. A quick search turns up nothing but a
few advertisements for the Macrotronics TERMINALL as well.

I only know MFJ-1213 to which I have small info.

That was my point exactly. It was a CW interface. The 1210 was
for the TRS-80 Model I and the 1212 was for the TRS-80 Model 3.
Both popular systems ( I still have both of them) and so it is
very likely that a number of those interfaces were sold. And yet,
here we are today, no information at all seems to be available.
Google searches return nothing or more likely pointer to things
totally unrelated like reports in medical journals.

What was the 1213? I am assuming it is the same device with an
interface for Apple or Commodore. A quick search for it also
returns nothing. qrz.com and MFJ themselves have directories of
manuals for MFJ products. Neither of them have anything on this
    series .
