The more coxswains I meet, the more coxswains I know with either back or sacro-iliac problems. Is this just a coincidence or is this anI'm a high school coxswain and it's my 5th season. I developed arthritis pretty quickly because I cox in freezing temperatures. Apparently, my upper and lower back pain is from arthritis I developed from coxing. Also, as a side note, I have arthritis in
occupational hazard?
If it's an occupational hazard, are there ways to prevent it (other than
not coxing or only coxing the best boats)?
Obviously, good set and little/no check would affect the back, but if one can't always have that, then what?
