    I think these are the current top 2 in the FIFA rankings.

    The World Champions against the best team in the 2020 Olympics and runners-up on penalties. And that's an understatement of how big this match is!

    usa probably deserve to win based upon the play ofthe match,but definitely deserve to lose based on the monotone,unimaginative stupid crowd chanting.
    From what little that I have seen Of thiswc, women cannot take penalty kicks.

    Why did Kelley O'Hara come on as a substitute so close to the end of extra-time, and then take the 7th penalty as opposed to 1 of the first 5?

    Weren't USA playing in the wrong colour shorts? They normally play in blue shorts don't they?

    USA were probably the best team. I didn't think either team played particularly well though. Did the tension just get to them or what?

    So Sweden were the team that ended the USA's record of having reached the Final of every Olympics. Now they're the team that have ended the USA's record of having reached the semi-final of every World Cup!

    Shocked it actually got to penalties.

    Anyone with a brain has to have a question as to how much this team wants to represent this United States.

    It's very rare you'd see that many go over the bar in one penalty
    shoot-out...

    Rapinoe laughing after she missed her penalty (she didn't even get it on target, and she's supposedly a top player) was a bit weird too. Usually
    players are distraught when they miss a penalty in a shoot-out! I know
    some people handle emotions differently but it didn't look good.

    As an example of women's football, and bearing in mind they are two of
    the best women's national teams in the world, it was a very bad advert.
    It was very dull to watch.

    Do you think the majority of professional players actually care which country they represent? All the allegiance-switching by players with multiple nationalities (and even those without) suggests that the answer is no.
