    (Existing_Mess1841) about what one can expect from Neymar's NT career:

    qualifiers, 6-7 Copa America, 8 in WC if they reach final and couple of friendlies. That is around 35 or lets say 40 max games if he is fully

    Meanwhile Messi will continue till Copa america. Messi probably has 10

    However, I rarely find such predictions about expected caps+goals in the
    wild, and it may be interesting to compare it with the prediction made
    by the algorithm. More precisely, by my attempt to approximate the
    result of Futbolmetrix' algorithm. ...Anyway, it is the prediction you
    find on the FS right now (made before the current round of international matches):

    The algo expects 31 caps+goals in average from Neymar, and in any case
    no more than 83.

    Existing_Mess1841 expects no more than
    35 caps
    + less than 20 goals starting from September 2024
    + some goals in the next 12 months, let's say 10
    (+ 3 points Neymar scored yesterday the algo does not yet know about)
    = less than 78 FS points

    They may be both wrong, but they more or less agree.

    Neymar is the first player to reach 200 FS points.

    For comparison, no player from the core FS nations who retired before
