Well, Estonia can still qualify for Euro 2024 through the playoffs, while Sweden cannot.

    Ciao,
    Werner

Well, Estonia can still qualify for Euro 2024 through the playoffs, while Sweden cannot.

But here's something that might cheer you up - let's walk through this:

Norway, despite arguably having generational players in Haaland and Ødegaard on the team
are already eliminated and can no longer qualify for the playoffs since in the accumulated
Nations League ranking they finished behind Iceland on goal difference:

    Iceland (2nd place in B2) 0-4-0 6-6 4p.
    Norway (2nd place in B4) 1-1-2 2-4 4p. (all matches: 3-1-2 7-7 10p.)

Now only four games were taken into account since Iceland had originally been in a group
with Russia who have been banned, and therefore in all the other groups of League B the
matches against the last-placed team were disregarded in order to be able to compare.

In Norway's case, that's two wins against relegated Sweden (2-1 away, 3-2 at home).

But what if Norway had lost their home match against Sweden instead, say 0-1?

In that case Norway would still have finished second, albeit on equal points with Sweden,
thanks to superior head to head (0-1 at home, 2-1 away, away goal rule).

But Slovenia would have finished last instead, Norway would have lost only one point when
those matches are discarded, and with 6 points finished in the standings above Iceland.

Long story short - by losing against Norway and then failing to beat Slovenia you guys
    condemned your neighbours as well.

    Ciao,
    Werner

You guys can't even do biscotti like you did in 2004...
