Southampton beat Leeds 1-0 to make it back to the the richest league in
    Sports Entertainment.
I watched the 2nd half and for some reason kept thinking Leeds is the
new HSV, they are going to be stuck in the 2nd div for years now. Which
unlike HSV, they already have done, so maybe HSV is actually the new Leeds?

Yes, Howard Wilkinson (with Leeds Utd) was the last English
manager to win the English League (Football League Division One
as was.) Which gives that infamous piece of trivia that no
English manager has won the FA Premier League... and it's not
likely to change any time soon.

    Leeds are the OG HSV.

Is that fair ? Leeds had little history until the 60s, if I remember correctly, whereas HSV were a traditional power and founding member of
    the Bundesliga.

Did Leeds ever have a purple patch other than the Revie years (where
they only one two leagues and one cup, I think, though they finished
second in a lot of competitions)? Briefly under Howard Wilkinson (last
English manager to win the league I believe) and perhaps George Graham I
    guess.

    Ciao,
    Werner
