Obviously not mathematically, but it kind of feels like Ukraine's Euros

    Man, that was a trashing.
I expected us to win but not like this.

Ukraine played rather poorly. I understand they have a 70-million
player which is probably more than the combined cost of all our team.
Plus Lunin. But they didn't show anything. We had a few moments of
brilliance, went 1 - 0 up courtesy of a fantastic shot, then Lunin
gifted us the second one and it was basically over, Ukraine had to
attack and weren't up to it and got more and more desperate.
On the bright side, our game looked pretty well organized and we
defended well. And we even showed some attacking flair when we had the
    chance.

All in all, nice win but I really don't expect us to do anything like
this angainst a strong team like Belgium. We should be able to progress
from the group but not much more.

A bit more like it from Belgium in the last few minutes (marginally

I know, I am rooting for Slovakia, but what a ridiculous handball call,
that is a very typical call made by someone who knows nothing about
football, let alone human body movement. WE call it an "english

Arguably yes. Looking at the opportunities France were that one goal
    better.

    I’m a bit disappointed. Rangnick’s gegenpress
never really worked the way we hoped for - we were
too toothless and inaccurate in attack throughout the
    match.
And yeah, I do think that having Alaba and X.
Schlager in the lineup would have made a big
    difference.

But let’s also not dismiss the fact that France are
very, very good. Despite some misgivings,
Deschamps is way better than just a French
    Southgate.
