• Japan v Australia (R)

They played the wrong national anthem for Australia. Isn't Australia's
national anthem "Down Under" by Men at work?

The answer to the question "Who scored first?" depends on how literally
you take it I suppose. Both goals were own goals.

I thought both teams played well.

I thought it was "Back on the Chain Gang" ... ;-)

Good result for Australia considering Japan is the hottest team in football.

Btw, since we're talking about anthems, this might be a silly
question with an obvious answer, but here it goes anyway: how
does that work when England plays Northern Ireland? I mean,
surely they don't play 'God Save the King' twice, do they? :-)

IIRC they just play the national anthem once, as it applies to
    both teams.

I don't get that. Were The Pretenders Australian?

It was a joke about the origins of non-native "Australians"
    arriving to the colony...

You do get a bonus point for knowing it was The Pretenders
    though!
