Taking a ride on this, on the last few days I've actually been
wondering about asking rss whether you would find a
world-level tournament in the style of the UEFA Nations League
interesting or not, ie, a multi-tiered competition for
national teams (a "World Nations League", so to say, or "FIFA
    Nations League"

Personally, I couldn't think of anything worse. If FIFA were
going to do that they might as well cancel domestic league
football altogether and make the football calendar full of
    international match days.

or "FIFA World League" as they'd probably call it.

If it ever happens they should go the whole hog and just go with
FIFA World Series! It has a nice ring to it. ;-)
