The Liver Pools were running away with the liga and winning the UCl and
were set for the triple or quadruple and what not, now they only got the
    WWEpl title.

Yeah, that's very funny. Poor Sky Sports, what are they going to
    wet their knickers over now?

Kind of reminds me of Real Madrid 2003-2004. Looked like they would win everthing in early March - then came a cup final (early that year ,
March 17th) that they lost in extra time to Zaragoza, followed by
unravelling in the CL vs. Monaco after winning the first leg, followed
by turning a reasonable lead in the league into a substantial deficit
behind Valencia (and only 4th place overall).

Not saying Liverpool will have the wheels come off that badly, since
none of the pursuing pack looks to have the resolve of that Valencia
team, and the gap is also a bit bigger. But you never know.

Nah, can't see it... Liverpool will win the Premier League title
    this year.

They didn't turn up against Newcastle yesterday though, the PSG
game probably sapped all of their energies. The 2-1 score line
actually flattered Liverpool if truth be told as Newcastle were
    easily the better team.
