• The Billion Dollar Cup R

From Binder Dundat@21:1/5 to All on Mon May 12 19:18:23 2025
OK, The Cup is not really worth a Billion$, it is not really a cup
either, it is just promotion the the biggest liga in the world of
Football sports entertainment, the WWEpl promotion series!

In my mind these things are usually tight affairs, but Sheffield United
won 6-0 on agg vs Bristol in the first semi.

Tomorrow is leg 2 of Sunderland v Coventry, Sunderland have a 2-1 agg lead.

Oh it is summer like now on the Iceberg. 28C and shorts and sun
    umbrellas and all that stuff.

So it has been brought to our attention that lampard is actually the
manager of Coventry, if they lose this he will never get another mgr gig
again. I mean comeon, maradonna has better stats as a manager.

We are looking to confirm that Jobe Bellingham is playing for Sunderland
and that he is Jude's brother

    All confirmed.

Terrible match, but we are going to ET. So it is kinda exciting, in a
    kids football match kinda way.

Summer is over on the Iceberg, it has been cold here for the past week.
Summer keeps getting shorter. Perfect weather to stay inside and watch
what is left of the football and maybe even the ice hockey. I think the
girls play tonight. At least you get your moneys worth, every game goes
    to overtime

So the Shef Fields are leading the Sunder Lands 1-0, The VARrobots took
away goal that made it 2-0, which I am kinda OK with. The winner gets
to join the WWEpl circuit for a year, or more if they like it.

There is a cup that is worth about 100 marks happening later as well.

Sunderland gains promotion and Join Leeds and... uh,I forget who else,
Burnley I think? Anyhow, late goal out of nowhere and in my mind the
keeper looked slow to move, but it was a nicely placed shot.
So the North will rise again.

Yes, Leeds Utd, Burnley and Sunderland.

My money would be on them to come straight back down again
though or best case scenario, one of them stays up...

Yeah probably. If you look at the table now, are these teams better
than ManU, Spurs or West ham?

Good point, but can all of Bournemouth, Brentford and Fulham keep up
their very solid performances for all that long? Brighton too. Plus
there is always the menace of points deductions etc.

    No.

Although I'd say you won't see Tottenham or Manchester United
that close to the relegation zone next season. As fun as it
might be I think this year was just a one-off as they rebuild.

Of those mentioned, I could only see Bournemouth struggling, the
others are fairly well run clubs with decent squads that should
    - in theory - have more in their locker than a promoted
    Championship club...

They are well run in the recent past, no doubt. But they are not super
rich by premier league standards, and a rash of injuries plus panic on
behalf of the owners (firing very sound coaches) could lead to disaster.
I hope not, but it does happen.
