In summary, I would play Semiahmoo, Sudden Valley, Lake Padden, Mayfair >Lakes and the Whistler Layouts (and if in Whistler you should play >Squamish). If you only had a week, I would ignore the others.

The original post kind of got to me with a title like
"Golf in SouthWest B.C.". and all those US courses.
Granted, I haven't played a course in B.C. that can match
the quality of most of the Washington courses I have played.
In fact, 3 out of the 5 picked by John are in Washington.
Again, if this were just a list of golf courses, and not
    B.C. courses, I would agree.
Since this list is more like, "Golf courses within driving
range of Vancouver, B.C." I would have to add Homestead
in Lyndon, WA. They only have the front nine open now
(with the back nine opening next spring I think), but it
a great nine. The fairways are beautiful, and the
greens are unsurpassed. If the wind is blowing at all
(which it almost always is), the ninth hole is an absolute
    killer.
    Just my 2 bits worth.
