Since PG&E’s bankruptcy, Hawaiian Electric has made reference in regulatory filings to the risks of power-line fires, but it waited years to take significant action, documents and interviews show. During that period, the company was undertaking a state-
    mandated shift to renewable energy.

    Even assuming it's true...

As Alan said, "...so?". Specifically, how does the power generation budget of a utility
affect private landowners keeping their properties cleared of fire hazards?

This is how "climate change" is KILLING PEOPLE, you idiot - misguided priorities!!!!!

Because it was "climate change" that caused the terraforming of Maui 80+ years ago
and from that, the high maintenance requirement to burn the sugar cane fields, which
when those fields went fallow because it was no longer profitable, their private owners
neglected the accumulation of wildfire fuel?

No need to, since that’s not what I was attributing the blaze on.
