Gosh, isn't it about time to give Tommy another update on how Florida has
been gaming their deaths by dragging out its reporting?
Case in point, revisiting:
"As of 2/19/22, FL is reporting 68,579 deaths...and:
total deceased as of 2/14: was 67,910 on 2/16, is now 68,541 = +631
total deceased as of 2/15: was 67,911 on 2/16, is now 68,561 = +650
total deceased as of 2/16: was 67,914 on 2/16, is now 68,572 = +658"
So now let's update:
As of 3/8/22, FL is reporting 71,326 deaths...and:
total deceased as of 2/14: was 67,910 on 2/16 , is now 70,001= +2,091
total deceased as of 2/15: was 67,911 on 2/16, is now 70,129 = +2,218
total deceased as of 2/16: was 67,914 on 2/16, is now 70,264 = +2,350
... additional FL deaths not initially reported
Likewise, the datapoint of 68,579 deceased as of 2/19/22, is now (3/8/22) 70,625 deaths as of that same date of /19/22, which shows 2,046 delayed
death reports.
So where it was previously said:
"2/15/22 was originally reported as +1 [new deaths], but now it is +20
2/16/22 was originally reported as +3, but now it is +11"
With the data now (mostly) encompassing the delayed reports, to update the estimate of FL's rate of new deaths for mid-February ... where FL had originally
claimed it as ~2/day, we now know:
(70,625 - 70,001) / (2/19 - 2/14) = 624 deaths / 5 days = 125 deaths/day.
