• Several new records set yesterday

Yesterday was a most interesting day golf wise. Set several new records, this will be a day I will remember for a few reasons. This day sorta happened at the spur of the moment. Work is crazy, I was supposed to be on a project all weekend, but I got a
call out of the blue to play, so i took the offer. Screw it, the boss don't like it, try and find someone better.

I was at a friends club. A club with a lot of trees and dense forest. There were leaves everywhere. So many had fallen the last few days, the staff could not keep up with it, or maybe so short staffed they could not keep up with it anyway.

The first record I set was losing 11 balls. Yea, you heard that right. There were a few times I hit drives clearly down the middle, or just off center, and there were so many leaves, there was no ball to be found. A few balls hit to the sides, ended
up in piles of leaves, there was no use even trying. We played the "leaf rule". but if we were playing for money or in a tourney, I would have had a score well into the 100s.

The second record I set was finding 22 balls. Everytime I looked for one of my balls, seemed I found one or two. The situation was so bad, I think folks everywhere were losing balls. I hit one right down the middle, could not find it, but found 2
brand new Pro V right under the leaves as I was sweeping with my feet, trying to find my ball. So lost 11 balls, found 22, net gain of +11.

The third record I set was the longest round ever. We walked, the course was crowded and the leaf situation so bad. Amazing, this is a club this is not cheap, and people will spend per 5+ minutes looking for a stupid ball. I give it about a minute, and
I just move on. The search was fruitless in most occasions, and all this searching did was back up the course. The round was just over 5 1/2 hours!

The forth record I set was the most cocktails ever drank in one day. I drink occasional wine with dinner, a beer or two at the club maybe once a week, but seldom hard liquer. Well, the pace at the club was so slow, every time the cart girl came around,
my host bought us Boubons and Coke. We had three on the front, three on the back, and one at the halfway house I was not drunk by any stretch, but I was clearly feeling good. If you told me that Stacy Abrams was the most beautiful woman alive, I would
have agreed. The drinking clearly affected my play, I whiffed a fairway wood on the last par 5, and on the last hole missed a par putt from less than a foot out. At the end of the round, I did not even add up my score. Yes, conditions were bad,
really bad, and it was a round beyond long, but the company was great, getting a bit of a buzz was great. Had to call my wife to pick me up at the club, no way I was going to get home safely. Man, all that drinking got me hungry. My wife cooked some
Ravioli and meatballs, I was swallowing all that down like it was my first meal in a week.

Today, working all day trying to get caught up. Did not have a hangover at all, but it will be a long time before I consume that much alcohol again. To think there are alcoholics out there that probably do this every day, cannot imagine that.

Hope all are having a great day!

    HA HA HA HA!

I played today and DIDN'T lose any balls - we made it around in 3:13.It was an 11:30 shotgun start because of the freezing. Didn't play particularly well, but, oh well, getting out beats sitting in front of the TV or reading libtard posts!
