Have not played golf in a while and it might be a long stretch before I do again. Been really bummed out, wife got me in the car today and we went to the local golf store, she knows how I enjoy looking at all the new equipment.

All i could say is wow. So much good stuff. I really like the Ping425s, those are beautiful clubs, I really like all the new Cally stuff, and I am really impressed with what Tour Edge offers, at a very competitive price. I would have loved to gone to
the hitting bay and hit a few of these, but I am so weak right now I cannot even take the club back hip high.

I noticed a lot of these hybrid iron sets out there. Cobra, Cleveland, Tour Edge, and Wilson all had models on the floor. These are big clunky irons that are not big in the looks department, but apparently very forgiving. When I am feeling better and
able to play again, this might be the route I go, I am not ever sure I will be able to play my near blade PXGs again, it just takes a lot of turn and a fair amount of strength to make these work. They say these are "old men" clubs, maybe they are, but
I am sure they make the game more enjoyable and forgiving.

I played around with dozens of putters. Some were upwards of $300...wow! I could not honesty tell the differnece between the top line and the low/middle line, every putter feels different and reacts differently. You could probably spend an entire day
at one of these big stores trying to figure out which putter works best for you.

I noticed in the fitting area, hundreds of aftermarket shafts. Amazing how many are out there. How can they all be making money, there seems to be so many choices and variations, and even with the best fitter, how can you ever know if the shaft you
pick is the optimal one. Especially for typical players, whose swing changes every round.

Just enjoyed getting out and looking. Not sure when I will be able to play again, just seeing the new equipment and putting it in my hands was uplifting.

Hope this all finds everyone here happy and well. I am doing somewhat better physically and emotionally, but a long road ahead. With so much time on my hands, it is good to visit various golf sites and just chat, talk helps. All the best to everyone
    here!

I can tell you what new golf equipment I just bought: a new pair of Footjoy shoes and a fat putter grip. I am waiting for Costco to start selling their new irons. Played 3 days last week after not being able to play since Thanksgiving.
