• Fury isn't great

I disbelieve Tyson Fury would last 5 rounds against
the 21 year old Mike Tyson.

I agree Tyson was underrated but then again maybe so is

Who underrates Tyson, at his peak?
The problem, historically, is that the division was weak
at that time, he didn't have a challenger. Whereas Ali,
for contrast, had Liston, Frazier, Norton...

Note the parallel: both boxers were never the same, after
their layoffs. Ali went from The Man Who Couldn't Be Hit,
to The Man Who Could Take A Hit Better Than Anyone.

Anyway, my point is, Fury's mechanics are horrible.
The joints in his body all seem to move independently.
    It hurts my eyes.

Watch his bouts vs. Wilder. The latter moves smooth,
throws nice combinations. Young fighters can learn a
    lot, watching his films.

Yet Fury whipped him, every time. I can't figure it, except
maybe he uses his reach and jab, so his opponents
    can't penetrate.

Tyson demolished those big slow guys, bobbing up underneath.

Men till saken, är Fury stor eller inte? Expertisen behöver
inte tänka efter utan svaret kommer från hölstret ...

Who underrates Tyson, at his peak?

The people who say he never beat another top division fighter
    at _his_ peak.

The problem, historically, is that the division was weak at
that time, he didn't have a challenger. Whereas Ali, for
    contrast, had Liston, Frazier, Norton...

That's always difficult to compare, I mean sure, these names
are legendary but maybe so would Klitschkos' had boxing not
been a fringe sport at the time of _their_ peaks!

Note the parallel: both boxers were never the same, after
their layoffs. Ali went from The Man Who Couldn't Be Hit,

Indeed, but did you ever do something in life, had a layoff
like that, and ever come back the way you did? One simply
cannot but one can reinvent oneself, I personally see that
much more with Ali than Tyson - then again I don't see
everything ... far from it :(

Didn't they fight in jail BTW?

That's how B-Hop learned the sweet science BTW ... US jail
boxing tournaments! And indeed B-Hop, another example of
before (traditional/ordinary fighter) and after (footwork,
    single punches, nonlinear/asymmetric/fake-news ring
    generalship :))

Anyway, my point is, Fury's mechanics are horrible.
The joints in his body all seem to move independently.
    It hurts my eyes.

Naah, don't say that, he doesn't do the traditional fixed
stance sweep-around, but his is more economic (at least for
    him), more relaxed, "bupidibupidibup" I-can-do-this-all-night,
lots of head movement and single punches. A little like B-Hop
actually except B-Hop has superb footwork.

Also Fury is very good using his size to lean on and lock up his
opponents, this drains them of energy. The message is, you
need a truck to get this guy anywhere! Remember if you notice
the other guy being more energetic than you even ever ever so
slightly, YOU suddenly feel A LOT tired just now!

His movement style and head movement not the least has
a puzzling effect on some, Wlad didn't even start throwing,
ever! A champ with tons of experience!

Fury is good! He knows the game. You better belive it :)

Watch his bouts vs. Wilder. The latter moves smooth, throws
nice combinations. Young fighters can learn a lot, watching

    Styles make fights :)

    Hello fight fans,

FYI you can download the 2022-04-23 bout between Tyson Fury
and Dillian Whyte here [1] in full HD, with UK commentators.

The biggest fight crowd ever in Europe - ninety-four THOUSAND
spectators at the live event! 94 000 :O

As for the fight ... I'm not gonna say "I told you so" because
the opposition was, altho capable, not top notch. That said,
the "Gypsy king" Mr Fury sure looked very good indeed!

I think that style is actually very modern, especially for
heavyweights! These huge guys are not gonna put together the
four, five or six punch combinations that the Cottos, Pac-Mans
and Márquez did, they are just too big and heavy for that.
Better conserve your energy and land that right uppercut to
    seal the deal.

    Fury is great!
