Sawaisamu has taken sole possession of sixth place
in career defeats, and Tamawashi moved up to eighth.
Sawaisamu now has 405 career wins, far less than anyone
on the list (Tamawashi has 662 in makuuchi alone).
I am not sure if his uncharacteristically good 2-5
record of 2-5 in the Hatsu basho (stablemate Itakozakura,
his distant but closest rival on the list of career
make-koshi basho, went 1-6) will get him promoted to
Jonidan for his fiftieth career basho there, delaying
his 600th career jonokuchi defeat (he is 5 short).
