Got a grizzly 1021x2 been a great machine for 4 months. Worked every time. Until yesterday. Comes on 3 seconds then shuts off. Then have to wait a bit and it will do the same. If only the run cap bad don't know why the wait between tries. Voltage on both
legs correct. Head spins freely by hand so no bind on motor. Same on centrifugal switch. Don't know why the wait between tries. Unless contacts not resetting.

Technically, I "know nothing". But capacitors hold voltage, and leak it,
and my guess (remember, I know nothing) is that this is accounting for
the delay. I expect Grizzly can help you with this; good luck!

My 15" Grizzly had two problems after a few months of use. 1st, the
drive pulley came loose and was making all sorts of noise. The bolt
holding it on had no lock washer so it easily came loose. Easy fix, and
I put some lock tight on that.

2nd problem was the motor wouldn't start. I think it was intermittent
but many years ago. I replaced the capacitor hoping for an easy fix,
but as usual, that's never the problem. Called Grizzly and a nice guy
that knew what he was talking about advised I should check the starter
switch on the motor, it probably came loose. Yep, that was it, and
apparently Grizzly Chinese workers are a bit lax in tightening things.
After 15 years or so problems never returned. I recommend you call Grizz
    and check the starter.

I recently ran into a "not tightening" issue with a brand new Samsung Washer. I'm not sure I can blame the Chinese workers as Samsung has factories
all over the world. The majority of washers are made in South Korea, but
they have a plant in South Carolina that supposedly manufactures their
US market washers. So I may need to blame my fellow Americans.

In any case, it's a worrisome issue. The one screw that holds a filter housing to the case came loose, causing a really loud tapping noise when the machine went into its jet-engine speed spin cycle. This happened just 5 months into
the 1 year warranty. The tech had to take half the machine apart just to get to the screw. The 2 second fix took over an hour.

What troubles me is this: What else wasn't fully tightened that day? Maybe the set screw on the drive belt pully? Or maybe one of the drum guides? Is something
going to let go mid-spin cycle, sending parts flying around inside the machine, tearing it apart? If it does happen, it'll most likely happen after day 365 of ownership.

If you have only had it for 4 months and assuming that you bought it
from Grizzly, call Grizzly had have them diagnose and send parts.
