The only accomplishment was that $300 billion has be wasted only to provide a possible short-term platform for private commercial ventures? Like building a $1 billion football stadium at tax-payer's expense, only 300 times worse and LESS productive.

If all the world nations military budget is added up, it's less than $700 billion.
    China spends $200 billion
    Russia $50 billion
    S-Arabia $70 billion
    For example!

Military spending creates jobs and not just among PhD's. The ISS is a gigantic waste with little gained from it being manned. It was again, conceived as a make-work project for out of
work ex-Soviet scientists. Right around the time Bill Clinton disarmed the Ukraine of its nukes.

Building and maintaining the ISS, doesn't create jobs?
Monkey's built it in the jungle?
How much does ISS cost to build?
The International Space Station costs NASA about $4 billion a year to operate. Moreover, the ISS cost a total of $150 billion to develop and build, with NASA picking up most of that bill while Russia, Europe, Japan and Canada each contributed.
