Alexander Gleason himself wrote in his book, titled, "Is the Bible
From Heaven? Is the Earth a Globe", that his 1892 map is a
scientifically accurate map that proves the earth is flat. Alexander
Gleason, the creator of this map, was a well-known flat earther. He did
NOT make a globe projection onto a flat map. The distances on the
Gleason flat map are ACCURATE. They have been shown to be accurate
repeatedly by many tests. The distances on a globe are not accurate.
The distances on a globe are so inaccurate that using an actual globe
for navigation is utterly impossible and would cause disaster or death.
Gleason, an avowed flat earther, reproduced and improved a map made
first by another flat earther (J.S. Christopher), and you make the claim
that it is a projection of the globe. Talk about brazen deceit! You like

No, the map itself says exactly the opposite. Right at the top of the
Gleason map it states in BIG letters, based upon the J.S. Christopher projection:
"projection of J. S. Christopher, Modern College, Blackheath, England"
J.S. Christopher was also a well-known flat earther and was a promoter
of the Zetetic Astronomy of flat-earther Samuel Rowbotham:
"At some time in life Christopher got hooked on Samual Birley
Rowbotham's 'Zetetic Astronomy'. This was a modern-day flat-earth
theory according to which the Earth is a circular plane
centered on the North Pole ..."
Christopher's projection was a flat earth map, not a projection of a
globe. Alexander Gleason reiterated this on the verso of the map, and
in his book. {Buffalo Commercial (Buffalo, NY): 6, 24 Mar. 1893.}
You didn't know that the map had text on the reverse side alluding to
the fact that it is a flat earth map. You see the difference between
you and 'flerfs' is that you regurgitate propaganda and make things up,
while 'flerfs' actually do research and experiments. And you would call yourself a, 'scientist' when what you do is ideological gate-keeping,
not science.
You don't understand what a 'projection' is. A map 'projection' is
simply the 'projection' of terrain onto a surface. In your ignorance
your called it a 'projection of the globe', a common false trope used
by heliocentrists. And you conveniently omitted the fact that both
designers of this map were die-hard flat earthers who wrote books about
their flat earth and cosmological beliefs!
Just because some cartographers have claimed that *their* azimuth
projections are a 'globe' projection does not make it so with this map.
It has already been mathematically proven that it is IMPOSSIBLE to
project a globe accurately onto a flat surface. Yet the distances and
angles on Gleason's map are ACCURATE and measure up to practical
reality, which would be IMPOSSIBLE if the earth were a globe.
The USGS, UN, and many other government agencies use for their official
logos a map layout inspired by two flat earthers!
It's an equiangular projection centred around the North Pole. It's
centre can be placed ANYWHERE.

map is 'scientifically and practically correct, as it is.' That is
written right at the top of the map. Did you even look at the map?
Distances are not correct on off-center equiangular maps. Distances can
only be correct if the locus or center is the correct distance
from every other point. Any skew introduces and propagates distance
errors.
The distances are correct on Gleason's map, proving the North Pole is
the center and the antarctic is not a point at a ball-bottom but rather
a ring around the whole plain. Your oversimplification of the matter
shows your ignorance disguised as pretended knowledge. You think you
are smarter, but just proved yourself dumber.
It's purpose was to show the, at the time new, concept of Time Zones.
No, its purpose was to render a correct map of the earth's surface with
correct distances. Time zones are a bonus, not the purpose. The time
zones and the time zone calcualator work very well on the flat map,
whereas they DO NOT work well using a globe ruler.

Gleason, the author of the map by his name, was a well-known flat
earther. You intentionally lied about his map. You claimed it was a
globe projected onto a flat paper, whereas Gleason the map maker claims
that it is a true and accurate map of the flat earth. Had you actually
studied the map in detail you would have avoided proving yourself a
liar.
