Hi all,
I like to introduce you to ORB, an Onion Reply Block, which
allows Mini Mailer users, with an smtpdump home server to
send messages anonymously, without revealing their .onion
email address. This technology is based on the old Mixminion
SURB technolgy and the modern Nym Mixnet SURB technology.
However and ORB, compared to a SURB is long-living and generated
by the user and not the server.
An ORB consist only of a minicrypt encrypted .onion email address
and an SMTP relay like pluto, forwards the ORB messages to the an,
him uknown, .onion email address.
An ORB can be shared out-of-band or made publicity available. It
is the users choice.
A sample ORB message with Mini Mailer looks like this:
From: Mini Mailer <
bounce.me@mini.mailer.msg>
To:
orb@pluto.onion

Hello World! :-)
This is a test with an ORB.
Regards
Stefan
As you can see, no other headers are required and messages will be
always normalized to CRLF.
On the receiving smtpdump server the message looks like this:
Received: from localhost (kubernetes.docker.internal. [127.0.0.1])
by iria (SMTPDump) with SMTP
for <
pollux@fswlpxkp6xdrwrcu3dmby4lwv4z22bep32s3f3ffrua3x4bmvdyhg2ad.onion>;

Because the message has no Subject: header it will be saved as:
no_subject.eml. New messages will have then a number added, like no_subject_2.eml etc.
Hope you like the idea of ORB!
Regards
Stefan
