• Content of a reply to sci.electronics.repair and "Terms of use" for ete

From peter@easthope.ca@21:1/5 to All on Tue Nov 12 11:38:46 2024
Eternal September is my news host.

I have no difficulty sending a message to begin a thread.

An initial attempt at replying to a thread is often not accepted by
the server. A filter on the server finds something in my reply
    violates terms of use?

I'm happy to remove or obfuscate email addresses and links. Even so, a
    reply can be denied.

Is there a deterministic way to make a reply acceptable?

    Thanks ... Peter E.

The server will certainly have spit back more details than you are
    describing, about what is wrong.

The NNTP protocol has many status response codes.

Did it not ever occur to you that since this is "a filter on the
server" that you might find you get a better answer asking in "eternal-september.support" where such questions would be on topic
instead of here in sci.electronics.repair where your post is wildly off
    topic?

No. Didn't not ever but I'm not a genius who's time is continually
    wasted by dim-wits.

For those interested, message 18449 in eternal-september.support
    addresses the snag.
