  • National Grammar Day (4 March)

From Ross Clark@21:1/5 to All on Mon Mar 4 21:45:43 2024
    Oh no. Another "Day".
"It was promoted in 2008 by Martha Brockenbrough, founder of the Society
    for Promotion of Good Grammar."
Here she is, author of books, mainly for children and YAs:

    http://martha-brockenbrough.squarespace.com/about https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Martha_Brockenbrough

And here's something about NGD. It appears that Mignon Fogarty ("Grammar
    Girl") is also involved.

As you can see, the concept of "grammar" here is disappointingly
    old-school.
Crystal recognizes this, and spends the rest of the page talking about
how important (real) grammar is. Language is more than just words.
