    April 12 is celebrated as Drop Everything and Read (D.E.A.R.)
    Day.

    This annual event is dedicated to promoting literacy and the joy of
    reading by encouraging people to set aside time to read together.

    The day coincides with the birthday of beloved American author Beverly
    Cleary, whose character Ramona Quimby popularized the concept in her
    book [Ramona Quimby, Age 8]

    As a teen-ager I read a book
    taht was a product of this [Re-think our Math education] movement
