Al Sunan Al Sughra (Arabic: السنن الصغرى‎), also known as Sunan an-Nasa'i (Arabic: سنن النسائي‎), is one of the six major collections of hadith (sayings and deeds of Prophet
Muhammad) in Sunni Islam. It was compiled by Imam Ahmad an-Nasa'i (d. 915 CE), who was a prominent scholar of hadith and fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence). The book contains around 5,270 hadiths, selected from his larger work, As-Sunan al-Kubra. It is
considered the fifth most authentic of the six major hadith collections, after Sahih al-Bukhari, Sahih Muslim, Sunan Abu Dawud and Jami' at-Tirmidhi[^1^] [^2^].

Al Sunan Al Sughra is divided into 50 chapters, covering various topics of Islamic law and practice. Some of the chapters are: The Book of Purification, The Book of Prayer, The Book of Zakat (Charity), The Book of Fasting, The Book of Hajj (Pilgrimage),
The Book of Marriage, The Book of Divorce, The Book of Trade, The Book of Oaths and Vows, The Book of Jihad (Struggle), The Book of Funerals, The Book of Virtues, The Book of Adab (Etiquette), and The Book of Qiyamah (Resurrection). Each chapter contains
several sub-chapters and hadiths related to the main topic. The hadiths are arranged according to the degree of their authenticity, from the most reliable to the least. Imam an-Nasa'i also mentions the names of the narrators and the sources of each
    hadith.

Al Sunan Al Sughra is a valuable resource for Muslims who want to learn more about the Sunnah (the way) of Prophet Muhammad and follow his example in their daily lives. It provides guidance and wisdom on various aspects of faith and worship, as well as
social and personal matters. It also contains many hadiths that are not found in other collections, or that have different wordings or chains of transmission. Therefore, it enriches the knowledge and understanding of the hadith literature and its
    importance in Islam.

Imam an-Nasa'i was a renowned scholar who devoted his life to the study and teaching of hadith. He traveled extensively to collect and verify hadiths from different regions and scholars. He wrote several books on hadith, such as As-Sunan al-Kubra, Al-
Mujtaba fi al-Sunan al-Sughra, Al-Khasa'is al-Kubra, Al-Khasa'is al-Sughra, and others. He was also a jurist who followed the Shafi'i school of thought. He died in 915 CE in Makkah after being attacked by some people who were offended by his criticism of
some weak hadiths about Ali ibn Abi Talib (the fourth caliph and cousin of Prophet Muhammad). He was buried in al-Baqi' cemetery near the Prophet's mosque.
