A 20-year-old American from Florida was beaten to death by Israeli
settlers on Friday while visiting relatives in the occupied West Bank, according to his family and the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign
Affairs. Sayfollah Musallet, known as Saif, was “brutally beaten to
death” in the town of al-Mazra’a ash-Sharquiya, north of Ramallah, the
family said in a statement on social media and confirmed to NBC News …
Hundreds of thousands of Israeli settlers live in developments built
in Palestinian territories that are widely considered illegal by the international community. Since October 2023 … violence perpetrated by
settlers in the West Bank has surged, often aided or abetted by
Israeli security forces. Settler attacks include raids on villages,
arson targeting homes and farmland, and physical assaults on residents
    that have regularly turned deadly.

With friends like Israel, who needs enemies?

Poor Palestinians. Always choosing to follow the worst leaders.
    Always making bad choices.
They should have chosen to have their own country in 1948.

Nest best deal, they should have chosen to have their own
country when Clinton had negotiated a deal in 2000.
(The Clinton administration made significant efforts to broker peace
between Israelis and Palestinians, primarily through the Oslo Accords
and the Camp David Summit. While the Oslo Accords established a
framework for negotiations and led to some interim agreements, the Camp
David Summit in 2000, aimed at achieving a comprehensive final status agreement, ultimately failed.)

    Sounds a lot like conservaturds.

Well they tried it in 1861, but weren't satisfied with what they already
had and tried to take more. We know how that worked out.

    1861 was a good year.

The intense rainstorms sweeping in from
the Pacific Ocean began to pound central California on Christmas Eve in
1861 and continued virtually unabated for 43 days. The deluges quickly transformed rivers running down from the Sierra Nevada mountains along
the state’s eastern border into raging torrents that swept away entire communities and mining settlements. The rivers and rains poured into the state’s vast Central Valley, turning it into an inland sea 300 miles
long and 20 miles wide. Thousands of people died, and one quarter of the state’s estimated 800,000 cattle drowned. Downtown Sacramento was
submerged under 10 feet of brown water filled with debris from countless mudslides on the region’s steep slopes. California’s legislature, unable
to function, moved to San Francisco until Sacramento dried out—six
months later. By then, the state was bankrupt.

    That happens every 150-300 years.
